Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis is a diffused brain disease having no cure in our world. It is a disease mostly ignored and has never been given importance and this fact is appearently existing both in our country and worldwide. The reason of the Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis disease is unknown. Even the cure is not possible, it is a fatal disease and no medicine production is available. 700 patients are registered at our association. This number at the record of the Ministry of Health is 1131. In Turkey , it is estimated that ; around 3,000 sspe patients ( except the deaths) are present. This number is increasing day by day. Although the Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis disease is more dangerous and fatal , it is not much titled like Aids or Cancer. The death of children due to sspe is continuing each day.Therefore , to help for the people having pain due to sspe , it is necessary to have more information and advice We , for this , being the “Association of Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis patients aid and solidarity” , have an important mission both in our country and the world. Medicine still can not respond to this disease. The reason is due to not performing regular researshes. We believe that , a serious research may end up with a solution . Because every disease has a cure and we believe that it has to be searched. The most important point for the recovery of a country is ; the social service given in accordance with its aim but not awaiting any counter benefits. Along with this , for any social service to improve and reach its aim ,the first item is the support of dedicated and idealist people. We need those dedicated people for the researches to be made worldwide for this disease. We would like to reach all of the sspe patients in the world to take them under records. Unfortunately , the number of the potential patients is taken into consideration to make the necessary researches and the medicine production. Our mission is to figure out this potential together and enable the researches and the medicine production to be made.
